Self Portrait
Here is a picture of me just on the Canadian side. You can see I am wearing a light shirt. It is synthetic and I could really notice a difference between how dry it stayed and how damp my cotton shirts would get. It wasn't warm up there, and when I stopped anywhere I would generally break out the jackets and long underwear, but as I got moving again I would strip the layers down (although I didn't strip down all the way). If you look carefully you can see a red marker over my left shoulder (the right side of the picture). They had a lot of markers a long this part of the trail to help people keep on the right track in the snow and to help reduce where on the area around the trail.
