- I'm not sure how a whole month slipped by since the last update, but
I guess it has. Summer 2005
is complete (with 71 new images).
- 4 October 2005
- Started a Historical section. This
section will include photos and notes relating to historical matters.
Currently there is a Now/Then picture set of Medvejie Lake, a note about the
possible source of the white water lily near Sitka, and a photo of a
possible old trail.

- Updated Summer 2005
with some pictures from June and July. Probably one or two more updates
to catch up with Summer pictures then I will start Fall/Winter 2005
with pictures from the middle of August through the present.

- Added the Teaching section for this semester. I have a backlog of
pictures from the Summer and now the Fall that I hope to get caught up on
over the next month or so. That may start as soon as next week.

For those who have not checked in the last week, that will be 144 new
pictures. The good news is that I am caught up through April now. The
bad news is, I probably have close to that many left to do before I am
done with the Winter/Spring 2005 photos. Then I need to get started on
the Summer photos (so far there are not quite so many of those).

Winter/Spring 2005
which amounted to about 1/3 of the pictures I had remaining from
April. I would like to get finished up with at least the Winter/Spring
section now that it is on into Summer, so there may be one or two more
updates of this size or larger in the next few days.

images through March. There are still many left from April and May as well
as family pictures taken since January before I am completely caught up.

with the first of what will probably be a flurry of larger updates in the
next two or three weeks. I have over 400 images taken since January to
process. Undoubtedly many will be deleted, but I expected there to be many
of them that end up getting kept.

few pictures of red crossbills, and some other pictures taken in January and

early January and a bunch from 3 trips to John Brown's beach last Saturday.

- I defended my dissertation yesterday and it was accepted. I have
put up a pdf version that
runs about 380k, for anyone who might be interested in looking at it.
- 25 February 2005
- My dissertation is nearing completion and my final defense is planned
for 23 March. The end is in sight, but the next few weeks will continue to
be busy. I should have time to start updating again in April. For those
that may be curious, I will probably put my dissertation on-line, but
I won't promise that it will be comprehensible for most folks.
