Thick-billed Murres
Uria lomvia

I am not absolutely sure about this identification, but Common Murres should be in winter plumage with more white on their heads by now. Also, there seems to be a faint white line at the base of the beak.

Location: Eastern Channel, near Sitka, Alaska
