Went to Medvejie with dad and Uncle Andy today. Got a ride out with some hatchery workers in the morning. By the time we got to the lake, the sun was just getting into the bottom of the valley as it rose above Cross Mountain (Cupola Peak).

We noticed some small fish in the lake. I had never seen any there before. They were probably between 1 and 2 inches. Dad said that one of them was a trout, but the others were too small to tell.

Andy and I took the canoe out on the lake and paddled up to just past the waterfall. There was not even a ripple on the lake. I took a couple of pictures looking back up the valley from the canoe, but I don't know if I was able to stay steady enough. Andy had to periodically "bail" water with his t-shirt since one of the many repairs which had been made to the canoe had sprung a leak.

We walked back on the road.
