Round Leaved Sundew
(Drosera rotundifolia)

Sundews capture insects with a sticky substance secreted at the end of the red tentacles on their leaves. They then consume the insects to gain nutrients which are lacking in the poor soil they generally grow in.

Location: Near the Cross Trail, Sitka, Alaska
