Common Hound's-Tongue
Cynoglossum officinale

The dramatic difference in appearance between this picture and the previous one is due to the fact that in this picture part of the flower was in the sunlight, making it much brighter than most of the surroundings. Keeping the flower exposed correctly resulted in the background being very underexposed and appearing black as a result.
