Snowy Clearing

The snow was fairly deep when we got into the mid-elevation clearings. There were quite a few inches of fresh powder on top of more consolidated snow. Unfortunately, the lower snow was not strong enough to hold our weight, so it was quite strenuous to break trail. It was not so hard for the one trailing, however.
