I counted fourteen spotting planes in the air as well as one helicopter. The planes circled over the fishing area continuously just before and during the opening. Considering the cloud level was not much more than 1000 feet and the area of the opening was probably about a square mile, that is a lot of aircraft activity in a pretty small area. They do it every year, though.
