Odocoileus hemionus sitkensis

I was able to get within 30 feet or so of the deer without it spooking. I had a hard time keeping the camera steady as I stood there taking pictures since my legs were quite fatigued. As I watched, it started to walk off even though it was clearly at least a little curious about me.

Location: Harbor Mountain-Gavan Hill Trail, near Sitka, Alaska
