Perched Fox Sparrow
Passerella iliaca

This bird seems to have the feathers on top of its head perked up for some reason. Notice the upsidedown 'V's on its chest. This is one of the ways to distinguish Fox Sparrows from Song Sparrows.

Location: Hillcrest Drive, Sitka, Alaska

Previous: Fox Sparrow on the Ground (Passerella iliaca)
